No, but a very cool looking set. I would be most curious in how they sound. I've heard the 10's once, but didn't get any real time with them in order to evaluate their sound. Hope you get them so you can educate me.

I haven't heard them either, but for $50.00 or so it's hard to go wrong, IMO.

You need to bid now to keep the seller from getting frustrated and pulling them down due to lack of interest.

I'm not a Ebay expert, so if you start an auction with no reserve and no BIN can you stop it once there's a bid or only before there's no bid?

You can cancel all bids of any auction as a seller. This happens alot when someone makes a deal outside of the auction for sale.
It's not right, but it happens.

I have been watching a number of items recently that didn't have bids on them going into the last few days, only to have them pull the auction due to lack of interest. During the summer, alot of ebay stuff kinda sits for days without much attention.

So what's to keep someone from honoring a no reserve auction then? I would think EBay would get pissed also, but I guess they still get their listing fee, right? If someone puts something that worth, let's say, $1000 at no reserve, and the bidding only gets to $125 with about 1 hour to go, the seller can pull the item? To me that's BS, because he/she took the gamble, that by doing a no reserve auction, he/she would get more bids.

Nothing, as long as the bids are cancelled prior to auction end.
There is tracking of how many times the buyer has retracted a bid, but no such tracking on sellers.

That just makes me even more wary of doing business there.

ebay is far from perfect, but I live in the middle of nowhere and the internet sites has allowed each of my hobbies to increase my interest again. I've had over 300 successful buys and sells without much remorse.

Never heard the 12's.....but they are built along the same idea as the 10's with more WAF. Supposed to be great speakers. The 10's and the 20's were the ones that most people remember.

Somewhere I have the review of the 12's. If I remember correctly the reviewers said they liked them a little more than the 10's, but we all know how magazine reviews go.

got beat out, but glad i did (went for 147.00 ish)

seems one of the woofers foam was falling apart. some might disagree, but i stopped bidding at about 145.00. seemed like more trouble than it was worth. I like my vandersteens and SDA 1b's too much :D
