if you are worried that it is a scam email the seller and tell him that you want another picture with a note written on a piece of paper saying gonzo this could be yours. if he can do it most likely it is legit. also if he replies that is a good sign too.Good luck.

Only way I would touch an auction like this would be with an escrow service.

I started at 0 too and worked my way up to 111 positives. But I had a bad experience with a 0 feedback Ebay member misrepresenting an item. It wasn't for the large amount ($1,500 last I viewed) showing in this auction, but considerable enough to not walk away from.

Ebay and PayPal were not much help. They have limits as to what they can do, and clearly tell you so. Fortunately he shipped the item via USPS so the fraud complaint I filed and the subsequent investigation got my money back.

Good point, but most of us started out buying, not selling. Anyhow, escrow is a good idea, but most the scams don't look like that. Typically scammers wouldn't talk about the warranty, would have 4 other high end pieces of gear for sale and would use a stock photo.

Maybe there's a polkie out that there that'll go round and verify that it really exists before you send the cash...

That's an awesome amp. I bet it sells new for a good bit more than that.

This guy could be legit. I'd still be careful, though. I think that either escrow or COD is in order.

I had low feedback on Ebay and sold some expensive Canon FD camera gear. A couple of buyers asked if they could use escrow and I agreed. They got the goods, I got my money.

It sure is an awesome amp.

Pay by credit card via Paypal, if it doesn't arrive, stop the payment and have Paypal to deal with the seller. In case going to that route, it is still a pain in the butt (speaking from experience ...), but you still can have the money back, just some thought if the price is a significant bargain.

phenominal amp, but I like the picture idea. Email him and see if it's cool. I mean, if you have one exactly like it to drive your ML Prodigies (5ch amp to run two speakers?), why do you have another one brand new that you're selling on the bay instead of returning it for full credit?????

Also could be a guy who works for a shop and got one on employee accomodation for stupid cheap, hence why it's on the bay and not returned... I know "some people I know" have sold a lot that way (bose/klipsch).
Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

    Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.

Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.

If you have a doubt, why bother, who cares, it's not rare. Go with your gut and move on...it may be a deal, and just because it sells doesn't mean it sold.

Man up, or stop buying from Ebay.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
