    That is the SVS Showroom.

And no, that is not the speakers SVS is working on.

SVS is planning on introducing lower, speaker setups to go along with the PB10, then work its way up the price range...

The White sub is the dual sub size (Believe so), the one in the back, wood finish is single sub size...and of course...the cylinders.

Now that is a setup that could deliver at "reference level".
Can you imagine the "ring drop" or "Darla Tap"at say, 135db?:D

Those dual boxes are alot larger than I thought they were. Not much WAF in that room is there?

OK. I have to ask guys: what is so special about SVS? I've never even seen them sold anywhere. All I know is they have a HUGE following on these forums. How do they perform for MUSIC?

From their specs they look unbelievable. 16 HZ? Jeez...

They are an online company... hence why you've never seen them anywhere...

And even if you did, if they were an OEM company, half the people in this forum probally wouldnt own them due to how much they WOULD cost. They are the makers, shippers, and store - there is none of that lame mark up that stores do (double the price they pay)....

SVS's are in a class of their own pretty much in the price range their in as for as being versatile between music and movies. The Ultra woofer is definetely their most musical driver though, but the PCi sounds great for music as well...

If you're ever in the Concord area...your welcome to stop by and take a listen any day! ;)

Danger...you dont count...your speakers are huge! I hope to get some larger speakers soon.. 46" tall... 15" deep... 90 pounds! :p

Alrighty guys, I visited the very place in that picture.

First off, I have to get this off my chest...

    IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!oneoneone11

    Sorry, anyways...
The super tall tube is actually a component rack, they have separate Onkyo somethings (I didn't get a close enough look) in there, and a good component switcher.
The tubes on the right are the PCi, PC-Plus, and PC-Ultra.
Then some PB12s up towards the front and a PB12-ISD/2 in the White (It's actually gray, plus it's mine:D) And behind the picture, there were Four PB10s. That room, running simultaneously could most definately cause some serious bowel movement.

They spent 7 hours calibrating the whole room. And boy, it's worth it, the 7.1 setup really takes the cake.
If you can go in to your closest SVS showroom do it, do it now.

After the demos (which were awesome) Joe, the production manager took me up to the assembly plant.

    Wow.

I learned a lot, as did my brother and dad. He told us an honest answer to everything we asked, a real straight up guy. We saw stuff being built as we were walking through. Unforetunately, it was at the end of the shift for em' so there wasn't too much action (They run 5:00 AM - 12:00 PM, to beat the heat) But, even then, when it came down to whether I was gonna buy or not, he offered get me a PB12-ISD/2 by building it right there, on the spot! I unfortunately didn't have the money on me. I would have paid for it just to see the process.

Overall very cool visit, I'll probably remember stuff later and I'll post it up.

    Points of interest:

    - SVS subs are in-frickin'-destructable. They got a sub that was returned, damage to the cabinet. They put it on the assembly floor, and they have run it for 2 years, 8-10 hours a day, hard with rap, and it still plays like a champ, might I mention it's been whacked by a pallet loader, has been used as a worktable and other such abuses?
Or how about this one? Joe has a SVS he uses for an outdoor sub, has for two years, and just throws a BBQ cover over it when he isn't using it. Still works great, remember, this is Ohio, bad winters, hot (Not that hot to some, I know, I know...) summers etc....

    - Their CS is amazing, they are very very accomadating to your needs, they've even got funny stories about it. (Anybody need a blank Sub enclosure to keep the look of their living room symetrical?)

    - I got a free T-shirt, how cool is that?

I understand the SVS phenomenon now...

PS: Those Speakers in the front...?

"While the "next big thing" from SVS might well be the details on the killer new full range speaker designs already being hammered by R/D, you might also hear some surprises on the low and high end of the bass spectrum."
    I say no more... ;)
