Can't live without it

Work has been kicking my ****, plus some family obligations and now the parties/get togethers for the holiday weekend. I haven’t been able to sit down and listen to my system in over two weeks!!! I’m seriously starting to go into withdrawal. I’m not kidding. Anybody else ever experience this phenomenon?

I can’t wait to have a few hours to myself to just sit down and enjoy some music. It seems that the system is so much more alive after not listening for a period of time. It’s amazing the integral part music plays in my everyday life. I don’t think I could be without it. Comments?

Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. I understand completely. Try not being able to have almost anything to do with our passion for several years, like I had to endure. Although, it has made this alot more fun.

8 months was long enough for me to be out of the Car Audio game.... it feels so good when you pull up to that light blastin Bob Marley... hittin' the mute button before you stop... then jammin' out when it turns green again...

i dunno i'm weird like that. but yea not being able to enjoy what you have for extended amounts of time is the worst.

I understand, I just married a woman who came with 2 kids. Both kids are out of school for summer and are home everyday when I get there whatching spungebob. I have to distract them with an outdoor activity before I can turn on the rig and crank it up.

You could buy some sponge bob music... then it would be like the best of both worlds coming together. :D:D

I've got some Sponge Bob bootlegs from '86 that are pretty good.

Up until last November, it was just the wife, me and a dog. Life was so good.

Now the MIL lives with us (ain't that bad, I get along with her better than the wife does at times :D) and our 29 year old daughter moved back in May cause her job may be eliminated. This has taken some adjustment. I have to schedule my serious listening times when they aren't around, and I can't walk around in my skivvies no more.

I did setup a decent older stereo system at work, but they frown on me sitting down when listening to it.
