I just made a wrong turn on the internet

So, I found this forum online, which, seemingly had a lot to do with another interest of mine. Boy was I ever wrong.

I was checking out the various parts of the forum, and all its different sections. Then I go into their equivalent of the 'Off Topic' section.

I ended up in one of the worst parts of the internet I have come across yet.

The thread was titled "Wikipedia's List of Jews" and all posts proceeded to be incredibly antisemitic. While I don't find this personally frightening, its incredibly disturbing. I mean, I've seen some pretty weird stuff on the internet, but, I am pretty messed up after reading the comments posted.

Anyways, I am just pretty shook up. I am pretty upset I made a post on that forum. I don't want to be associated with those people in any manner whatsoever.

The internet is one messed up place.

Sometimes I think the internet helps things like this thrive, whereas others, as mentioned, just become more apparent.

Yup. It's a good and a bad thing. It's a real shame the world is in the state it's in. (No, I know the whole world isn't in a state...even Texas isn't that big..lol)

I don't think the 'Net makes matters much worse seeing how f-ed up the world is anyhow. I just think it takes what is wrong and puts it flat out on the table for all to see. Plus, it takes all the wrong people and links them together... I guess that could be worse, depending on how you look at it.

I see the 'net as being able to link the people, that otherwise would not know of each other and let the speak, and creating a more powerful network.
