carver amazing (First test report) article in stereo review

Found this issue of stereo reveiw from 1986 in a pile of magizines at my buddys house yesterday and was written by the late julian hirsch, the pic of these stumps me a bit as I did not realize that the first woofers in these were square like the ones that sony used to use in one of their speaker lines from the 80's.
At what point did they change over to ones that are round, and further more if you come across a pair I would say that it is safe to say that one should check them out and see what is there. I would also assume that it would be impossible to find replacment surrounds for these. No?
I am not sure if it is copyright infringment or not to post the rest of the article, if anyone wants a copy of this let me know and I will make a copy and send it to you.

far as the square drivers, I've never even heard of those....
