Multiple Amp Questions

I'm going to be hooking up a Polk C400.4 (in 75x4 mode) and a Kenwood 7201 (in 460x1 mode). I want to have a nice clean install, this will be going in a 2006 Mustang GT.

Could you use a distribution block for the two amp grounds? Or is that stupid?

Also, what size power and ground wires should I be using?

Any advice will be helpful.

Thanks,
Toby

What gauge power wire are you running.

You can use a ground distro or you can ground them out to the same place I think (that's what I did and it's not a problem).

ground out the same awg you used to go into the amps.

    try that maybe.

    So, I'm thinking 4AWG into two 8AWG's.

Usually, with anything bigger than 8 guage wire, it can be difficult to get all your connections connected on one little bolt or nut. So I grabbed an unfused distribution block and mount it so that I can get the shortest run from all amps to the block and then run a 4-2 guage ground wire to my ground point. It depends on how many amps and what kind of power is being run.
