Between this and the ability for companies to fire employees that smoke, drink, buy competitors products, or put a politcal sticker on their own car...it's a sad day in America.

What a load of crap that is. I'm a big proponent of leaving most things up to the states to decide, rather than the Federal Gov't, but this opens up a lot of doors to bad places.

I'm movin to the f'n woods.

yeah, that shook me to the core too. I know iminent domain has to be used sometimes for revitalization, but i am not happy with the broad applications this opens up. can be used for any reason? for private development?!?!?! They at least gave some authorization/leaway for the states to intervene and regulate the use.

Maybe I should have listened up a little better in my Russian class in college, huh? This should be left up to local government. This should be put to a public vote, not influenced by lobbyist. Lobbyist are what's wrong with our nation.

I know that, supposedly, the Supreme Court isn't influenced by big business lobbyist, but I wasn't born yesterday either.

It can't happen in Georgia, it's against the state constitution for a taking to benefit private entity. 125 years worth of rulings to support it. They thought we were crazy for wanting to get out of the union because of an overbearing gov't that wanted to trample on states' rights.

The reason Ratemyboobies.com was shut down is that they have no way to verify that everyone who submits a picture to the site is 18 or older. This is not the act of "religious zealots" or President Bush... it's the act of child pornography laws.
    Ludicrous gibs!

I could be wrong, but this is nothing new. Wasn't it a ruling just to uphold the already existing laws?

And yes, the states should have more control over their own conduct than the feds allow them.

Let me clarify... I do not AT ALL agree with the original topic of this thread. You should not be able to kick someone out of their house at all. It's their land, they bought it, and it's theirs. Now, I can understand it if the place is vacant and falling in/an eyesore... but that one house pictured was pretty nice, except for the color ( :) ). It's rediculous to kick someone out to build a hotel or a resort.

Now, the separate subject matter of Ratemyboobies.com.... let me add to what I said above.

THESE LAWS HAVE BEEN IN EXISTANCE FOR A WHILE! They're just being more strictly enforced now. It has almost ALWAYS been illegal to have child pornography on the web (or anywhere, but more specifically the web in this case). The web owners of ratemyboobies.com are just being little crybabies and blaming everything on zealotry and President Bush. That is just rediculous!F'ing whiney-assed crybabies is all they are. Unless you can prove that your images are all of people over the age of 18, you're S.O.L. That proves to be impossible for a large site like ratemyboobies.com... especially since ANYONE can post their pics, with no age verification whatsoever. they brought it upon themselves!
    Ludicrous gibs!

This is EXACTLY what is meant by ACTIVIST JUDGES.

Stupid **** hippy liberal judges that do not interpret the constitution but hand down judgements the way they think it should be.

If the constitution says women are not allowed to vote and a bunch of chicks sue, REGARDLESS of if you think its right or wrong, it doesnt matter, they cannot vote!

A judges job is to INTERPRET the Constitution not change it. We even had Supremes admit theyve "consulted foreign law on some cases"!!!!!!!!

I think we should petition DC to bulldoze the Supreme Court building for a Wal Mart! That ratty old court isnt generating any tax revenue!

I call for the impeachment of 5 Supreme justices!

Damn it! There goes my blood pressure again! 1-2-4-5-6-7-.....

Those damn pinko commy ****. Let 'em come try to take my house. They had better bring more than piece of paper, like the National Guard. This is the biggest load of crap I've heard in a long time. It's time to put them back in their place, civil servants not dictators.

And screw the child pornographers, too. That's not an issue of liberalism or conservatism, it a matter of right and wrong, perversion. But I'm all for a nice set of tatas on an adult women.

Me either, I'm actually a very peaceful man, but this kinda **** makes me irate. I'm with you, though, don't dare come on my property with the intentions of trying to remove me from it so you can build a mall or hotel.

All I know is they should not be able to force you out for a private entity with more money. It is bad enough when they want to build a road or some government project but for a strip mall or hotels. Thats B.S.

As for the judges, they make decisions based on party affiliation not the constitution, they interpret the constitution the way there party wants it to go.

I think the judges should be elected not appointed. Every 4 years we should have an election for the judges.
That would show us how much money they make on the side. No one in their right mind would spend 6 million dollars to try to get a job that pays $100,000 per year unless there is money to be made on the side.

Our system is broken and it is very scary.
