Hi all..... I'm new to this forum so HI to everyone here........

I'm doing a major upgrade on my receiver to an Onkyo TX-NR801. My speakers are in good shape "still" but don't know if I should upgrade the speakers too. Any comments welcome.

Since they still sound good keep em! the only thing that you should consider changing is the subwoofer. Make sure that your receiver has pre-outs so that if you want to add more power via separate amplifers you can.

Looks like a good start to me.
Upgrading depends on your budget and the size of your room.
I would try it like it is for a while and see what you think.

Hi! Welcome to the forums Lontar. If you're happy with your speakers- I say keep them. That's a nice setup. Secondly, does your new receiver have pre-outs? If so- then that's the next step you should do in upgrading. With a new, improved receiver paired up to a set of speakers you already like- Then ADD AN AMPLIFIER to the receiver- trust me- It did wonders for my setup.

    for a new amp:

for a pre-owned amp (the best deals)
    http://www.adcom.com/

IMO these two manufactorers offer the most amp for the $.
