Getting moved in...

Well, since Thursday it's been go, go, go. Got the whole place moved Thursday and have been putting in ceiling fans, garage lights, window blinds, etc, etc.

I bought some Kimber 8TC speaker wire for the new set-up and like it very much; 8ft runs with Postmaster spades on all ends---great wire. The Salamander triple 20 is also working out fantastically and looks gorgeous in Cherry.

Tonight we'll finish up the bar out on the patio, already got the stereo hooked up out there, just have to find the TV remote (damn it).

Just wanted to stop by....

Good to hear, we just did our final walkthrough last night and should be able to start moving in on Thursday so we are about ready to hit terminal chaos like you're going through.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

We got moved in last weekend (not just this past weekend) so we've had a week of unpacking in already :)

Did some swapping out of lighting fixtures and installed a ceiling fan in my room. All in all it's been a pretty busy week! And we still have a barnyard to clear out and horses to move in.
    Ludicrous gibs!

Yes, still in Sierra Vista, only about a 3 mile move. A little closer to Ft. Huachuca.

I feel for you guys. Although moving into a new house is a great thing, it is overwheming, frustrating, and stressful to a marriage. I went through almost two months of hell last summer and I'm glad to be staying put for the next 4-5 years at least. Good luck all.

This was the highlight of our moving day:

    Check it.

We only got it out by chaining it to one of the local farmer's tractors and pulling it off the hitch. We never would've gotten it otherwise.

Story is, we had already brought two loads in with the 26' truck, but from the other direction. The last load, we came in from the top, which was our mistake. :)
    Ludicrous gibs!

Moving is, yes, but going after a mortgage, worse. I am in the throngs of taking out $300k on my house and man what a pain in the arse. Three weeks of shopping and I have finally picked one, as of last Friday. Both myself and my parents are taking out mortgages on our houses and we are going to buy my borther's house out-right and then rent it out, he's moving in October. Not something I really wanted to do as I had no mortgage but adding more property to the family is a fairly secure investment so I couldn't pass the opportunity up.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

I was referring to the whole process. Looking, making offers, shopping mortages, closing, packing, moving, unpacking, decorating... I should have said more like 6 months of hell. At least we finally got most of the decorating projects done as of a few weeks ago.
