Picked this dvd up at BB in the SciFi section (a new release).
This is a unique film, a french made film (in english), computer animated with a few live actors merged in, and decent sq.
I enjoyed watching it, probably mainly for it's uniqueness. If you like 'Heavy Metal', this is a similar type film, based in the strip saga style for story presentation, with contemporary animation. A story set in the grungy future with some suspense, gore, sex, action and a tie in with ancient egyptian mythology.
Ah, here is a good description. Think of 'The Fifth Element' done by the original comic strip writer/artist with a good budget. Instead of fast paced hollywood action glitz, you get slow paced imagery. Where each scene is an elongated animation of the images in the strip.
I give it a two thumbs up, but this film isn't for everyone.
