See what one can do with a little 5v tin and some rivets. He's got himself a one-off Celica. Extremely rare.:D"SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Is anybody else having trouble with their browser loading the images? Seems like if I hit older threads (The babe thread;) ) it all works well but the more recent images don't seem to be fully transferring.
BTW that body work looks like something my lame **** would come up with.

I've noticed that any pictures that are attached to people's posts load VERY VERY slowly, and sometimes not completely. Perhaps the server's overloaded?Ludicrous gibs!

Yep, picture threads are loading slower for me too.SDA 2s; HSU STF-2; Yamaha RX-V1

Some of the pictures have been taken at very high resolution(megapixels), which is really not necessary for the internet. That will make the pics take excessively long to appear. I found that out at work when downloading pics of cars for our website."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,
CAUSE I SPEAK OF THE POMPITIOUS OF LOVE" -
Yup, working screwy for me too. Uploading screwy as well.
On the "Best Album Cover" thread, I posted 3 different pics on 3 different posts and only one showed up.
On another thread I posted 3 different pics of the Dodge Charger and although I could only see one.

Folks will pay lots of dough for all types of vintage cars. Pick a flavor and pay.
On an added note, I've owned and or raced Chevy's, Ford's and Mopar's. I started out in Super Stock with a 428 CJ. I've worked on and driven just about all the '60's to '70 muscle cars. IMHO, after '70 there was some excitement but less muscle. I was and still am very good with carb mods, particularly after you put in a non stock cam grind.
My fav wild ride was an original Shelby AC Cobra with a 427.

The Shelby 427 Cobra, IMO, is the all-time baddest car. 0-100-0 in 12.9 seconds with BS brakes and tires. Not too shabby by any standards. I would have loved to have seen your 428 CJ. I've always had a soft spot for older Ford muscle cars. The 429 Boss Mustang is my favorite true Ford of all time. I had a 72 LTD with a 429 interceptor that was a retired police chief's personal car. It was a 2-door Brougham, loaded. You talking about a sleeper, white with a vinyl top, hubcaps, etc. Even though that car probably weighed 2 1/2 tons easy, once off the line an IROC Z-28 didn't have a prayer. That engine was rated at 375 hp conservatively, with over 500 lb/ft of torque. Not bad for '72. I really purchased it just to yank the engine and make a fake Boss 429. I was never able to find a solid '69 or '70 Mach One chassis for a reasonable price that wasn't a POS."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

About halfway down on page 6.
Theyre nothing spectacular. Just some pics I pulled off the Dodge website.

This was my last street car back in '95, a '72 SS454 Chevelle replicant with a 468CI BB. Real SS's are too much $$ to mod anything on which decreases their value. It evolved from a 13 second cruiser to a high 10 second car with a 100 horse nitrous assist. Adding another 100 HP to the base engine would have made it less streetable, requiring a 5000 RPM stall converter.
The car had working AC with PS, and weighed 4,160 pounds with me in it. It was very steetable and had excellent off idle throttle response with a vacumn secondary carb, 3500 stall converter and turbo 350 trans with a low first gear. The chassis had poly bushings with super stock mods done to rear suspension. Up until the last engine mod, which upped the compression to a real 13 to 1 requiring leaded racing fuel, it had passed the State emissions testing.
After that I sold the car and went Super Comp racing with a Small Block Chevy powered suspended Altered. Then I crew chiefed for Arnie The Farmer Beswick for two years before quitting anything to do with racing.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -

Oh hell, I've got 5 of those sittin right in front of me. I thought it was an older one, sorry. But I have to agree with you in that they are badass. That will more than likely be my next ride after my lease is up in two years on my 2005 V8 Dakota Quad Cab. By then they'll have some incentives that I can couple with my employee discount. I might get the SRT8 model with the 6.1 425 HP Hemi. 0-60 in under 5 sec., Brembo brakes, 20's, etc. And yes, JSTASNY, I know that Dodge says 0-60 in just over 5 sec, but that is very conservative. Motortrend had a 300c go 0-60 in 5.3 and so did several other independent testers. Car and Driver?? did 0-60 in 4.8 in the SRT8 300. It whipped the GTO with the new 6 liter and a six speed's ****. The GTO managed 0-60 in 5.1, still not shabby but that car is quite a bit smaller than the 300 and Charger, plus the manual tranny."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,
