Speakers for Jolida Hybrid

I bought a Jolida 1501RC Hybrid. My CD is a mmf cd - 25. My speakers are RTi8's. I'm looking for an opinion on what floorstanding speaker will give me a better "musical" sound. Possibly more midrange and lower base frequency. I think the Polks are missing the bottom end of the spectrum. I am 2 channel and don’t use a sub, I primarily listen to music.

Thanks

Patrick

There are literally hundreds of options, but we need to know what your budget is to narrow the field a little.

Offhand, you can always go up the Polk chain with the Lsi15.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

You should also consider upgrading the opamps in that Music Hall CD-25 to opa627's ;) Let me know if you're interested....very cheap!

Thanks. I would say my used budget is around a $1000.00 for both speakers. I will look at the LSi15's. I appreciate the info.

I do not know what this means:

"upgrading the opamps in that Music Hall CD-25 to opa627's"

No....you've got it slightly wrong. A waht is a measure of power whereas an ohm is a measure of resistance....get it? :(
