A GREAT day at work!!

My son Daniel (12 years) went to work with me for the first time today. I promised him a long time ago that once he turned 12 he'd be able to and he's been looking forward to it ever since. His first day on the job and he got to help replace an old roof top unit. He worked his fanny off and earned his pay. He's too darn smart to do this kind of work for a living, but I'll teach him everything I know so that he'll always have a trade to fall back on if he needs to.
I'm so proud of my boy...err...young man!!

I used to do HVAC with my father back in the late 70's and early 80's. We had our own business. I wish I had learned/listened a little more. Teach him well, even if he never had to do it for a living, it's sure nice to be able to service your own."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

I've got one also, but it's an el cheaper $200 Sears buy...works for me though... -
Yes it is...got it for $180 at Watson's; pretty good deal.....
But...it has been replaced with the wife's painting stuff...she's seriously on to that; the three paintings behind the bar and the one at the right in that same pic are hers...._________________________________________________

Frank & Dan, the A/C men. Good for both of ya!
I had my 14 Y.O. son with me at work today too. Youngest of 5 and is bigger than I am. We needed to do a little maintenance at one of my businesses so we made a full day of it. I do this any time I can since in a couple years, he won't find the time for ole' dad. His only complaint today is that with all the rain we had, he couldn't use the riding mower on the tall grass out back. To him its still all about the fun and money!HT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

Dave,
Got it covered, been selling and servicing R410a for the past 4 years. Good tools make the job easier, great tools make the job fun. -
Cool, I forgot out there the switch to 410a has been on a little longer but here in the southeast I think the general public wants to wait 'til the last minute(as usual).

That is a very smart thing to do. Probably THE single best thing you could do for him.
Although, if you teach him the trade now, and he can study the business management end in college, he would be able to run his own company quite efficiently later on.
Something to chew on... You could wind up working for him -
