IEEE 802.16 is working group number 16 of IEEE 802, specialising in point-to-multipoint broadband wireless access. WiMAX is both faster and has a longer range than Wi-Fi."

we will probably deploy systems this year:D New infrastructure is always fun...;)

Have you heard Nokia is going to OEM this platform? Should prove very interesting.

"Yes they do and to hear an argument comparing my computers HD with that of the audio chain is the most ridiculous thing I have heard.

In all digital systems there is jitter. The bottom line is that your jitter is effected by every circuit in the path. The less circuits and operations on the digital stream the less jitter and the better the audio."

Yes you are correct, but you are comparing the electronics in the system, this thread is about comparing the medium or coax digital
cables to optical cables, and My example might have been a little on the far side, but I am not talking about active circuitry here.

Either way I am done with the thread, its all good! go on believing that one cable sound any better than the other. I find that a hard thing to believe myself, Maybe you can plug in one cable and it sounds better but that might be some of the circuitry in the pre amp or whatever, I just can not believe that one medium sounds any better than the other, besides the fact that Coax can pickup R/F noise. I think both can carry the digital signal the same, and what I am really trying to get across is that digital unlike analog doesn't change sound signals in the same way that people are used to comparing analog over the years.

Sometimes its not about what you think. OFDM is what is attractive.
