Dt Bp7002

I'm considering my first HT setup, and this is what I've come up with: Definitive Technology BP7002 and appropriate center channel (the model number doesn't immediately spring to mind). They would be paired with a pair of Bose (I know, I know) surrounds and a Kenwood reciever I happen to already have. Unfortunately, proper amplification is not currently in the budget, but it will come in time.
Cabling is spec'd to be Monster DVI, component, and audio lines, with a speaker wire I can't recall at the moment (my design sheet and I are having some 'time apart' right now). I know many people here have a thing against Monster, and I'm willing to listen to alternatives - this also applies to anything else in this article.
Considering that I can get the BPs for about $400 off, and that the TV will likely be Sony's 50" Grand Wega or the like, is this a purchase I should consider? What, if anything, would you do differently?

The BP7002 is a great pair of speakers with quad 5.25"...
There is no exact center channel match yet since DT has yet to rebuild their center channel line - so it wont be exact. But you would want a center with dual 6.5" to actually keep up with the 7002...
Now, you could find a pair of BP30 used and get the CLR 2500 (I think thats it) with the dual 6.5" midbasses and that would work. The BP30 has been discontinued however.
The BP7002 is more up to date than the BP passive line, considering the fact the passive line was introduced in 1996 and has had no modifications...
Also remember that the BP7002 uses powered subs, and may infact be a weak link, it may be a better choice to get the BP10B or BP30 and a subwoofer like SVS ( www.svsubwoofers.com )...
I would seriously try to find a dealer that still has the BP30 and get the 6.5" dual center and a SVS... thats the way I'd go... I just don't like powered towers all that much...
If you'd like to talk further about DT among other things, setup, best combos, the works...
