Hi, and thanks in advance for helping out this newbie to the forum.
I recently purchased two pairs of Monitor series 5jr's at a garage sale, and would like to hook them up in a HT environment. could any one here reccomend a polk center channel to compliment these? I am looking for a correct timbre match, as well as matching sensitivity ratings...if that;s possible... thx

Dan

For used the CS245i should work nicely if you can find one. Might also consider the CSi3 if you want new. Cruthfield has the CSi3 for 179.

another option is, use one pair of 5's as main, use one (or both) of the other pair as a center, and use another set of decent speakers for surrounds (whatever you have laying around). i place more importance on timbre matching front and center over timbre matched surrounds. if you have 6.1, maybe use one Mon 5 as a center and the other as a rear center, along with one pair as mains, then as i mentioned, another set of speaks as surrounds. I'm sure a cs245 will get the job done, but if you have a spare set of speaks sitting in your house you can use as surrounds, my option is cost free (sweet!)
