Northwest Audio Meet

Well I just got home from the Northwest Audio Meet in Surrey, BC and it was awesome. There was a good amount of people to chat with and pick their brains about anything audio. First we were the test dummies listening to all the different speakers on this single track (which got old very quickly ) and then we had a sheet to fill out for each rating it on sound, looks and bang for buck. After that we were set loose to try out any of the speakers there. Behind the speakers was this wierd sacd player along with a matching pre and beside on the ground was this massive Theta Dreadnaught amplifier. We tested out many kit speakers and some other random diy speakers. There was lots very tasty food (Al really knows how to barbecue hehe) and overall it was very fun.
To wrap up the party some gifts were given to people. Some of the companies running the show generously donated some stuff. There were quite a few speakers given away. I myself received five Audax 3" full range speakers.(model number HT080M0) These little things are very cool and will make some nice computer speakers when I'm done with them. It was an awesome suprise and conclusion to a great day.
I think the speaker that most amazed me in the bang for buck category was the Kit 41 from Exodus audio. I found the sound to be quite detailed and smooth. The bass extension was good but soft. Without the cabinet these run for $209 cdn and are definatly worth a listen if you are looking for speakers in that price range.
I have drawn up some box plans for these but I have no idea what kind of internal volume these will need. I have made them about 0.2 cubic feet and they will be polyfilled.
