I've seen his name mentioned quite a bit, but haven't heard him yet.

If I'm gonna go out and buy one of his albums to see if I dig his stuff, which one should I get first?

I have three of his, all are very good.

    The Door
    Just like you
    Slow down

I would try "The door" first, it is worth the price of the CD for just the song "Beginning"

I am sure you know this, but go to Amazon, you can sample tracks of each CD there.
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

All good recommendations above, but I like most of Keb's stuff, your mileage may vary. If you've got HT, the Sessions at West 54th is a great DVD.

Go here and listen to the clips for yourself:

Not long ago, Keb Mo was just a vaguely familiar name to me. Now, less than one year (and five CD's) later, he's one of my favorites. I recomend his music highly!! But tastes vary so like others have said, check out some clips on line before putting down any hard earned money.

You can also go to amazon.com and listen to 30 second or 1 minute clips of each song on most CDs, in general. That way, you can determine which ones you like. It's also a great place to buy used CDs.
