Center channel - again

I can pickup a CS250S for ~ $100 locally. I have R50s and 15s. Can anyone give me some feedback? I've been looking for a CSi30, but should I buy this older speaker (if in good condition). MSRP was $300, tweeter doesn't match, if in good condition it will probably be better than the Onkyo center I'm using now.

Ideas? suggestion? Thanks

    The Csi30's tweeter doesn't match your speakers either. I say go for it, if it's in good condition. $100 doesn't seem like alot for a center channel.

    I can't say anything about your other speakers but I have a csi30 and it sounds pretty nice even though it isn't at all matched with my other speakers. I picked it up brand new for $200 canadian about a year and a half to two years ago.

    Update.

    Saw BIN on Ebay for a CSi3 for $70. Almost new, no marks, blemishes and in working order. I bought it. Haven't paid yet. I've sent 3 messages to the seller asking for payment details with no response. I've never bought anything off Ebay so I'm not sure what my options are.

    Any advice from experienced Ebayers out there? Should I just go ahead and pay through PayPal and hope the seller ships. Frankly, I think he made a mistake and the BIN price should have been $170. Do I have any recourse if the seller has cold feet?

    Wait for a response. A few extra days patience is easy insurance against getting screwed. I have bought and sold several eBay audio items in the past month, as a buyer I wait to pay until I have received an official receipt. But, like you I acknowledge that I am the winning bidder immediately.

    I will attempt to be patient. I got excited last night and decided to audition a polk center, so I went to CC and picked up a CS1. What a difference. I didn't realize how much bass I was missing from the center channel. If that CSi3 comes thru, I'll take this one back. If not I'll probably keep it.

    Ron, wait like markmarc said.. give it a few more days.. if no reponse after say a week.. then you may have to consider it not for sale anymore.

    Seller contacted me this morning. Looks to be on the up and up. Paid and now I'll keep my fingers crossed.

    I auditioned a CS1 with the Rs, it was a fair match. I hope the CSi3 will improve it.
