What would be a good upgrade to purchase if i was going to go with a seperate amplifier for my Front speakers. the speakers will be R50s. right now im just using my Pioneer VSX-D914 to power my whole system, but id like to upgrade with a seperate amp. what would be a good choice for under $200? i was looking at the Adcom 5300, and the 535. any other options/suggestions?
Thanks

i have an adcom 5300 and love it. It sounds NOTICEABLY better than my H/K 235- and that is no easy task.
I got one on e-bay for $175 inc. shipping- a steal if you ask me. They really make my rti-4's sing.
Also, if you're into multi-channel- the Adcom 7300 is nice too. Got mine for $225 on ebay inc. shipping. I have that one hooked up to my csi3, and four f/x300i's - all with the same result as the 5300.
best $400 dollars i ever spent on my stereo. -

The 535 IS the original Adcom that put them on the map......err the 555 actually put them on the map. Many feel the 535 is a better sounding amp than the 555. I don't care for the speaker terminals on the back. Those were improved on the 535 II. The 5300 is a newer design with Mosfet output transistors and it's 80 watts per and the 535 is 60 watts per. It would be a tough choice if they are both the same $$$. You absolutely can't go wrong with either one. Flip a coin!!!

Can't argue with that statement.
