Im am buying a new soundcard (my computer is my source for music) and finally fixing my receiver (pioneer sx-1280) and need some nice yet cheap interconnects to go between. Might buy 2 pairs to use to hook my CDP up also. What would you guys recommend for the best bang for the buck?

Go for some Accoustic research, dude. They are easy on the wallet.

If you want to, and if you can swing it, go Signal Cable. Discount for us, and IMO, THE best bang for the buck. I use them for my HT.

BTW, I'm a Led Head from WAY back. Cool...

Signal Cable or Blue Jeans Cable are your best bang for the bluck (imo). Both are good companies and easy to work with.

My experience is with Blue Jeans Cable, but there are many here who have used signal cable and I have not heard anything bad about them.

Your asking for a subjective opinion, bro. I did a shootout with SC Analog 2's and some Audioquests (forget which ones). I bought SC's. Ya know?

Here's a link to Signal Cable

Think I'll get the signals. How do I get the discount mentioned earlier?

Tell them your a member of Club Polk. It's like 5%, basically it will amount to free shipping.

16 Year old Led Head, Sweet, My kids are into it too. It's real cool when I put in, like Physical Graffiti, and kick it with them. the youngest is 9;)

Everybody should be a Led Head. If they aren't they don't know what they're missing :D:D

As an alternative to pricier cables see this link.

I bought a Toslink cable for my computer card to my DAC which is part of my office music system. Poke around the site, find what you like and then go to Amazon.com to buy. They are cheaper thru Amazon for some reason. I think if you spend $25 or more at Amazon, shipping is free.

it's coming from your computer so the sound will not be that good anyhow. Don't spend to much on them, no matter what you get.

I'd rather use my computer as a source then the DVD player I have now, especially with that upgraded soundcard. I think it will sound fine coming from a computer assuming you aren't trying to play 128 kbps mp3's.

You could always try www.ac4l.com form some cables, or the Dayton interconnects from www.partsexpress.com.
