rt55i wall mounting?
just picked up a pair of rt55i's off ebay for $310 shipped, and want to wall mount them. any suggestions on the best way to do this? what about optimal positioning for these speakers?

they are alittle heavy to be mounted on the wall. You could build shelves for them. The position depends on the room and where you are sitting.

I would go for stands, personally. They are rather directional.
Better off trying different positions first with a ladder or something similar and STABLE. They are big and heavy; I have a pair of 55's, too (non "i"). Then shelf them, with a sturdy shelf.
Mine aren't in use yet, still thinking about how to integrate them. But they ARE going on stands.... -
If you do try to wall mount them, whatever you do, make sure they are on studs as they are pretty heavy.
The rec. stand height for them is 18 inches, and here is just what you need:
