I have a Raleigh M60, its bad ****. Im not a fan of the disc brakes though...When I was riding I would get kind of hard core sometimes and I'm 100% positive theyd get bent and/or broken

My hardcore days are probably behind me. Ill be mainly running normal trails and paths. Plus downtown Chattanooga has a zillion bike paths so I doubt Ill be doing any cliff drops or anything.

do they work as well as v-brakes? at first i just saw them at wal-mart so i just thought they were a gimmick...but great choice with the raleigh, you dont hear about them much but it seems like a lot of the time, dollar for dollar, theyre among the best buys you can get

excellent choice... and yeah, disc brakes are better in every way than v-brakes... less fade, more power, better modulation, easier limp-home (you can still brake with a slightly bent rim, unlike vbrakes), etc... no serious racer uses anything else...

    good stuff.

downhill and freeriding happened, that's what :)

this is the red bull rampage, now extinct, and if i'm not mistaken, that valley is named 'Bender's Gap', and it's 60 feet wide with about the same vertical drop from the ledge to the landing - these people are freakin insane...

I ruined many pairs of shoes that way!

Then again, I could also get the bike up on one wheel and use my foot to push the tire.
