I am michigan local and i have bought all my tv sets - three big screen mitsubishi tvs from abc wharehouse. my advise is to pick out the one you want get your best price and they will beat it. infact you can play some abc stores against each other. typically they usually have a large selection. my parents went to best buy, sears etc to shop for appliances then took the best price to abc and they beat it. i told them to try another abc store the second store beat the first abc store by $500.00 for the same items. they try to push the extended warrantys when they drop prices like that so be prepaired. The stores were canton and brighton.

    Good luck

    bvette94,

Thanks for the ideas on ABC. I too have also bought stuff from them, although I have caught them a couple of times selling "pre-opened" stuff for new, and that bugs me. Nobody at the stores denied doing it, but they didn't admit to it either. It's pretty easy to tell when you get a receiver in which the remote is ripped out of its package with the batteries in it, or the manuals ripped out of their packaging. But I did actually end up buying my Onkyo receiver and all of my Polk speakers from them, making sure of course that they were all brand spanking new.

    Best Buy.

But this was where I signed up for 2 years of internet service w/ AOL and received $200.00 for anything in the store. I paid $180.00 net for a 27" Panasonic monitor w/ component inputs. This was almost 4 years ago, so it was a pretty good deal at the time.

Got my big screen from a company called Brandsmart. They have serveral stores in S. Florida and are now expanding in the Atlanta metro area (1 store current and 1 under construction). They have insane low prices.
Also got a 27" Panasonic Flat CRT from Walmart for 1/2 price cuz it was a return, but it was in box and was flawless.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Sears they are the easiest to PM. Just do your homework bring the price. I lucked out and a rookie sales guy did a PM for an internet price. YMMV Good luck.

I get the majority of my stuff from a local store called Home Video Library. They come in at least 10-20% lower than anyone else in the area. We also get a break from no sales tax in Oregon

I bought a receiver a few years ago from Sears because they honored online prices. I'm not sure if they still do, but it would be worth checking!
