Need help with speaker wire selection

I'm going to be using my SDA 1B's as rear channels in a 5.1 setup. The speaker cables will have to be about 60 feet in length a piece. I'd like them to be white for asthetic purposes but since I need 120 feet I want something affordable too. Any suggestions? How's the Monster Cable Navajo? It doesn't bother me if it's an in-wall type, just needs to do the job. Thanks

I'm sure that someone is going to mention the Home Depot straight wire. It works, it's like a quarter a yard, and comes in multiple colors. On the surface that's your best bet, but you have soem rather large runs.

It maybe a myth, but I was taught that you want to use "real" cable (Monster or its ilk) at longer runs (+30 ft) because of a delay. As I said, I don't know if that's true. I paid for the Monster stuff so I don't worry about it (my room size wasn't an issue, I was spending plenty anyway so it was an indulgance)

What ever you do, copper wire of a decent gauge required here. I'd say you'd be safe with like a 16 g wire of home depot.

I just purchased some blue jeans cable 10 white for my front stage (23' runs) and sub (7') As the name implies, it is 10 gauge with a white Jacket.

I really like it and it sounds phenominal. Much better than the generic 16 guage cable I was using. (25' runs from a high-current amp to 4 ohm speakers) I am sure the guage difference was where the sound quality came from, but I am happy with what I spent anyway.

    10 ga is .57 / foot.
    12ga is .39 / foot.

Both are in-wall rated (10 ga. is plenum rated) I needed in-wall wire and it worked perfectly for me. I am very happy with it.

One thing to keep in mind though is that it is twisted in the white jacket. It will not lay flat along a wall. (you may be be able to get the 12ga. to tuck under a base board, but then again, it may not.)

It's all how you take it, I use generic 16 gauge in the back and center and Polk Cobras for my fronts, I don't notice a difference, however, I do not think I have as well a trained ear as I would think nor have I ever desired to AB the wires, my two cents, happy searching,
