Me again! (With one last little Amp question...)

I decided to listen everyone's advice, I decided to use my receiver as my processor and just to bite the bullet on an amplifier for my RTi12s. I bought a Monster 2-Channel Amplifier, and it should arrive in a few weeks. Hopefully it'll be worth the effort and money, because I'm expecting to hear a world of difference :P
I'm sure it will be, since I've never heard seperates before.
Anyway, as always I have a question
My question is this... I bought ALL Acoustic Research interconnects for my system already. And I've set some stuff up temporarily and it's sounds fine to me.
But, that said, would I be doing my new amplifier a TERRIBLE injustice by connecting it to my pre-outs with my standard audio cables from Acoustic Research?
Is this something where I really SHOULD invest in some serious audio cables? I don't know!!

AR's cables are pretty respectable. See how you like them first, before running yourself crazy with cable changes...Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

Well you see, so far I have NO complaints with how it all sounds. But if i'm using them as a backbone for my power amplifier, thought maybe more heavy duty cables were in order. I'd love to know that I could get by just fine on AR frankly, however I'm worried they won't be delivering enough bandwidth between my receiver and my amplifier... does it work that way? I thought maybe there was a certain quality rating you needed in your audio cable if you're feeding it into a high current amp.

Hi Laura.
Congrats on your latest purchase. I have never been a big proponent of spending large amounts of money on IC's. However, I will say that when I changed from the crappy IC's they give you with the the equipment, to some Blue Jeans Cables IC's I did notice a difference. However, they did not cost me an arm & a leg either.
I think you will be just fine with the AR's that you got. They are certainly better than what came with the equipment.
If you are interested in experimenting with different IC's you can join the list that is here on the board and get lots of different cables to try out without spending tons of money.

You might want to sign up for the Cable Demo Program for any interconnect cables offered. The cable's you have are fine, but I found the Audioquest Diamondback just fantastic. So much so I bought a pair for myself.

I have all AR's on my system and I think they sound fine. I took everyone's advice and signed up for the cable swap program. Try out a bunch and see which ones you like. In the mean time the AR's are fine though IMHO.Setup:
