Considering picking up a CS400i. Is this too much speaker for my system?

R15s surrounds

Thanks for the advice.

No. Since it carries most of the sound and all of the dialogue, the center channel should be the first purchase on the road to Upgradesville. Afterwards, pick up some fronts -- RTi or Monitor series -- and put your current fronts in the rear. Then get a kick-**** sub. Then replace your rears. Then upgrade your interconnects and speaker cables. By then it'll be time for another receiver or separate amplification. Then you'll be as crazy as the rest of us...
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

I just knew you were going to say that. I had put aside this "hobby" for over 20 years and my first marriage. My current wife bought me an Onkyo 770 for Xmas. I was pretty pleased for what it was for movies, but I started to listen to music again. I bought some R30s for my son. Had to check them out first and so the upgrade slope started. The R50s went on sale, then the 15s. Gonna snag a center, a new sub and receiver.

Don't even talk to me about RTis or LSIs until I get my first stage finished.

The CS400i will suck alot more power than my other speakers. I'm just concerned that I'll have an unbalanced front soundstage with what I presently have.

    Thanks for the advice.

If you are buying the one on e-bay, be aware that he ran that same add earlier and supposedly sold both.

    Same add different end dates.
