Southern Californians Flock To San Diego For Holiday

(San Diego, CA) -- San Diego has made the Auto Club's list for one of the most popular destinations for Southern Californians this Memorial Day Weekend. San Diego is expected to be the third-most-popular destination. Also appearing on the list is Las Vegas, the Central Coast area, from Santa Barbara to San Luis Obispo, Mexico and the Grand Canyon. The Auto club says nearly three-point-one-million Southern Californians will be traveling over the long holiday weekend, a three-point-four-percent increase over last year.


Why do people feel the need to go someplace where there's going to be 50 million other people? There will be half a freakin' million people at the beaches no doubt....driving around for hours looking for a place to park so that they can squat on the sand a foot away from some other fool and get a sunburn. I don't get it

    I live 1.5 miles from the beach and there is no way in hell I'm setting foot near it this weekend.

    This weekend, it's all about, beer, relaxing, beer, cigars, beer, movies, beer, bbq'ing, beer and more beer. I'm not going anywhere.

    People are like dumb sheep, they have to go in herds. Thus the reason everything is so crowded on long weekends.

    Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
    Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

    I was thinking of paying a visit to your beloved mouse trap, but then I thought, nah...it would not be a wise thing this weekend.

    Wise choice my friend. It gets insanely crowded and I just can't figure it out. Flocking to a place that's nothing but crowded to get away and relax :confused:

    Oh yeah, I just started this weekend off right, had me a nice Stone IPA.

    Hey....now you're talkin' my language! The Stone brewery is just a couple miles away. I've been a customer since they first started out :cool:
