The perfect chair?

I know having the right gear is an important part of the 2-channel experience and was wondering what you guys' perferences were as far as your listening chair goes? I've only owned the free hand-me-down cheap furniture people were nice enough to give me, but hopefully that will change in the next 6mo to 1yr when I try to purchase a house. Ideally I'd like a very comfortable reclining chair that I could lay back and fall asleep to music with, and also have it double as a chair I can read a book in.
Is this going too far and should I just go out and try some recliners, or are there some secret recliners out there you guys truly love for listening to music in?
Thanks!

Recliners are just like audio equipment. Start going to furniture stores & auditioning recliners.
When you find the right one to conform to your body & comfort level you will know & proceed to purchase said recliner.

If you are looking into recliners, look at the options that reside in the arm rest on todays models. Some have ice chests, places for remote control, headphone, etc. storage.
Today offerings certainly aren't Dad's ugly old chair.:)
Approach your search just as if it were a new piece of audio and it will become a pleasure not just a task.

I had a lazyboy recliner and I liked it (till the ex took it)
I still have the sofa and it has heald up well for the 6 years since I bought it.
I also agree that storage in the arm would be nice, maybe a back masager or a heating element. Perhaps a Pam anderson look-a-like to.... oops nevermind.:DSkynut

I have a wingback recliner. It looks really nice in the living room and is actually very comfortable.
Just wanted to make sure you included them in your evaluation. - If the furniture looks nice, maybe she won't mind adding a pair of speakers to the living room...

For critical listening, I would advise against a wingback. IMO, anything around the old cranium interferes with the sound.

I've got a 1905 Morris chair with a nice soft foot stool. The 14 spindles in the sides allow the music to flow freely around you.>

I gotta agree with the notion of getting a chair without padding around your dome. Low back for me for sure.

White Ikea recliner that is way to big for my room but way to comfy to get rid of. Picked it up for $30 and it came with a free discman
