Say it ain't so!

quote from www.rukeyser.com stock update page - "Financial and Health Care have also been influential leaders to the downside, with the latter being dragged lower by a 2.9% drubbing in Pfizer (PFE 28.07 -0.83), amid rare reports of blindness linked to its drug Viagra"

Blindness eh? Makes ya wonder what they're doing after they take the Viagra. Suppose they're growing hair on their palms too?

Are you sure about those numbers? Got this off an article on WedMD that was written in 2000:
The potential for death after Viagra use is much more controversial. In terms of numbers, I am aware of at least 500 deaths reported to the FDA among patients using Viagra, a relatively small number given the number of little blue pills taken in this country in the last two years. Still, some argue that when compared to other treatments for erectile dysfunction, Viagra may be 10 times more likely to be associated with death.

    Actually its less than 50:

"The FDA has 42 reports of the blindness, 38 among users of Viagra and four among users of Cialis."

Its been a long time since 2000. 2003 Viagra sales were $1.88 BILLION, 2004 was $1.68 BILLION.

What if Lucas and Viagra got together for a promo ad?

-A tremor in the pants. The last time I felt this was in the presence of my old master.

-These pants may not look like much, kid, but they've got it where it counts.

-Attention. This is Lando Calrissian. The Viagra has taken control of my pants, I advise everyone to leave before more troops arrive.

-That blast came from those pants. That thing's operational!

After just a brief search on Pubmed, it does appear that there are some complications to vision that can arise (hehe) with use of Viagra.
