SVS Cables

Well, it will be a SVS sub purchase, not exactly sure which one at this point. (SVS PB10 or PB12)

1) The SVS subs apparently come with a heavy duty power cord. How do you SVS owners feel about the cord and have you replaced it?

2) Has anyone purchased the Better Cables Interconect from SVS when purchasing the sub? Just wanted to know how they compared to the other interconnects people are using.

Thanks Folks.

Get the PB12. More is better.

Replace the stock cord with Signal Cable. Consider it a minor tweak.

Get a less expensive subwoofer cable. No need to get fancy with a sub cable. Any decent RCA cable will work well.

Thanks Early B. I am just trying to justify an additional $220 Cdn $ for the PB12. I like bass, but do not need to crack any pictures or things like that.

Don't expect a performance gain from changing the SVS's power cord, you won't get one. Put that $ towards the biggest SVS you can afford.

The only reason I would upgrade an SVS power cord is if you needed a longer one.

I agree, $220 for what. Nice sub, but the PB10 will suit me fine. The 3 metre cable for $26 (Better Cables from SVS) seems like a good deal. I need a cable and 9 feet is a good length. I would pay that for a 6 ft. interconnect from RS anyway.

Is that all? Yeah, go for it. Didn't they used to cost more than that?

    Enjoy the PB10.

    Wow.
$64.98 vs. $26.95 for the same cable. Looks like one helluva markup when you buy direct.
