External Amplification

My receiver has pre amp outputs. I was thinking of adding an external amplifier(s) and (later) more LSI's to the center and rear. Would this receiver provide a decent (preout) signal or would I be better off starting over. I thought if I got the external amp(s) and didn't like the sound I could always add a better preamp down the road.
What would be the best bang for the buck?

I would get an amp first and try it wth your unit's pre outs and see how you like the sound. Like you said, you can always get a pre/pro later. That's the beauty of separates.
Try Outlaw Audio . Thay make great amps for a good price. I have the 770.
I have read the Emotiva is pretty good also.

Do you have this unit? It looks great on the surface...

I'd like to know more detail on the bass management, time correction between channels and more importantly the how does it sound factor.

No I dont have the Unit, it is still in the preorder stage, But I must say I am leaning towards the Outlaw because of the BM it has (4 point xover every channel)
it seems the LCM-1 has a fixed 80hz xo, I just reccommended it to him because of the price point, if you dont want the features of the outlaw them the LCM is a better value because AV123 is one of those companies that makes affordable products that enter the hi end realm, The LCM is sure to please any audiophile
