Hi to everyone

This is my first posting and i just wanted to ask some basic questions.

I am looking for front speakers in a price range $500-700 a pair . I am interested in a clarity of the sound as opposed to loudness and also something that would match my other speakers.
Currently I have an Onkyo TX-SR600 , my rear speakers are Polk Audio f/x 300i and center is a Polk Audio CS245i.
My needs are basic TV and DVD moives, I do not really listen to a lot of music.
I was thinking about the Monitor 60 or RTi8. Would you recommed these for my setup, if not what would you recommend?

Thank you

The best thing would be to buy used speakers that match your center and surrounds. RTxxi florrstanders or book shelf models.
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

A good match would probably be the RT55i bookshelf or the RT800i tower speaker.
I have never personally heard either one but I hear good things about both of them.
I just bought the RT55 off e-bay for around 250.00 shipped but they have not arrived yet so I do not know how good they are.
I have also seen the 800's sell for around 400.00
Check out the Polk site for the speakers you currently have and see what they recomend.

To echo Hoosier statements, I would look for some RT800i's. These are easy to drive, sound good, and match perfectly. You should be able to get them below your budget as well.

Edit: Skynut and I posted same time, I forgot about the 55i

    Thanks everyone for quick reply

I already checked today ebay for RT800i and did not find any for sale. I will be checking everyday now. If anyone of you comes across someone selling RT800i ( black ) please let me know. You can post a link here on forum.

    Thanks

    i have rti4's, csi-3, and 4 fx/300i's in my "7.1" setup.

i know the tweeters are different between the old rt and the new rti's but i'm telling you right now they sound timbre matched to me. They go perfect with each other.

Although, I do have the same line throughout the front- you do not- so that could be a problem.
