I am buying a pair of bi ampable polk audio RT55's and was wondering what would be the difference if I bi-amped them conecting them to both the A and B speaker terminals, or if I just Bi-wired them using only 1 pair of speaker terminals? I'll be using a sony DB series reciever.

connecting them to the A & B terminals isn't bi-amping... A & B are driven by the same amp, so basically it gives you a more convient way to bi-wire. You might see a little improvement doing this- if you've already got the wires, go for it.

I wouldn't bi-amp the RT55. You only need but so much power going to the tweeters. It's not like the RTi12 were the top amp would also be driving 2 mid ranges in addition to the tweeter.

Instead, I would focus on one powerful, high quality amp for the RT55.

Bi-wiring couldn't possibly hurt anything though.
