here is a description of my system
Alpine CDA-7875
MM465's in front run with an Alpine MRV-T757 Monster 1001XLN interconnects (60% gain)
MM465's in rear run with an Alpine MRV-T707 Monster 1001XLN interconnects (50% gain)
2 MM120 subs run with an Alpine MRV-1507 monster XLN interconnects
I was running monster 401 rca's on the front and rear amps with no problems or noise. When I installed my new boxes for my subs, and changed the way my amps were mounted in the trunk, I started getting a crackling distorted sound(not alternator wine) through the tweeters of both component sets. I assumed that I had cut or broken an rca during the install and just replaced them. I used some really cheap (monster junior's)cables because my 100XLN's were already on order, but the noise/distortion disapeared. Today I installed the Monster 1001XLN rca's and the noise/distortion is back, but if I put the cheap rca's back in it goes away. Does anyone have any idea why I would get noise with the best RCA's on the market, but not with a cheap 10 dollar set.

I'm still having the problem, but if I turn the midbass extention on, most of the distortion(it sounds almost like dc voltage is reaching the tweeter) goes away. If anyone has any ideas please help me out!!!.
