I am buying a new house and I am going to have a little extra cash left over from the sale of mine. I am wondering.....should I just complete my Lsis and get them all around or sell my existing speakers and go with a full Sonus Faber Grand Piano Home series for my 7.1 set up? Any thoughts? TIA

My opinion is that if you're thinking about it now you'll probably end up doing it sooner or later anyway. If you like the Sonus speakers that well why not go for it.
On the other hand, if you use the system primarily for HT would it make that much difference. The LSi setup all around would be pretty awesome.
BTW, you have a very nice freakin' setup! The LSi's in the rear would probably improve overall tonal balance.2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables. Thank you. I hope I can recreate it in the new house. I know that getting more LSIs would be a lot less expensive and I am more into HT than music.....so maybe that would be more prudent. I am not really sure how the Sonus do with HT in comparison.Sharp Elite 70

wingnut,
my two cents: agree with Dragon, an all LSis setup would be my vote, since you are already half-way there. Next, if you still have some funds left, focus on source and a good sub. Since you said you are more into HT than music, I would think that you'll enjoy your system more with LSis then SF series. If you are heavy into Bach and Mozart, SF would be a better choice for music. Have fun...I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie. -
Well I think my source and sub are pretty decent already so I think I am leaning toward more Lsis at this point. Time to go shopping.:)Sharp Elite 70

Wingnut,
It looks like you have an amzing system as is, and LSi's all around would be an exceptional system for HT, and even for music. It would save money, and time and be something you probably would not regret.
However, lets' face it, Sonus Faber is a completely different class of speaker, and you would not be disappointed in this setup. They actually do superbly for HT, as they are outstanding speakers. As little as you may listen to music, just think how amzaing the music would sound when you did listen to it, especially if you took the time to properly setup the Grand Pianos.
The Home series is also being phased out, to make way for the new Concert Domus series, which more resemble Cremonas than they do the old Grand Pianos, Concertos, etc. The new ones employ the Ring Radiators used in the Cremona line, the Concerto has become a 2-driver floor standing speaker, and the new Grand Pianos are full three-ways with 2 bass drivers. What does this mean for you? The Concert series is now cheaper than ever. The GP's go for $3k/pr and the Concertos are going for around $2k w/ stands. Really a great deal. The Center speaker may not be much to look at but is a wonderful speaker, and I would recommend the wall speakers for mounting, unless you wanted to go w/ Concertos. That is my two cents, and the way I see it is, if you can afford it, go for what you really want. You could probably half pay for the system by selling the old stuff. But do it quick. The older GP's will soon be gone, and I'm guessing the new Domus series is a lot pricier, given their very Cremona-like design.Current System:

The current Grand Pianos, and the rest of the classic series, have been reduced, and are unlikely to be reduced any further.
GP's are $3k/pr, concertos are $2k w/ stands, not sure of the center and walls off the top of my head. That price has been solid for months, don't see it dropping anytime soon, but you never know. The Domus series is already in production, so it won't be long before they hit stores.Current System:
