Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that with the new lineup of Samsungs in stores (HLR series), the older model (HLP) prices are falling through the floor. Check out onecall.com or go to your local Samsung dealer to check it out. The 61" model is going for around $2500 instead of $3300. Yowza.

They should be cheap though, their technology is two years old. Spend the extra money if you have it.

Too bad big screen prices don't drop at the same rate as computer component prices......comment comment comment comment. bitchy.

The Samsung prices are indeed dropping like raindrops for the older models, but as far as big screens go, the new ones aren't too expensive either, and there is a noticable improvement of pq on the new modes. Plus, they've gone through 2 or 3 generations of the DLP's and are working out the bugs. My advice, if you're going to spend the $$, buy the new sets and make use of the new developments. Samsungs really are the DLP sets to beat right now, although I haven't had a chance to view the new slim one from Infocus.Current System:
