Hi,

I have been looking for a decent priced pair of Rt-55i's or rt-55's and came across this forum.

If anyone has a pair they are selling let me know.

    Good luck man....
I have the 55i's (not for sale... sorry) and i love them.

I personally think they are the best polk bookshelves out there by a long shot. some people call them a little warm but i like that. i think warm sounds more natural. I wish they would bring back the tri-lams in there newer speakers.

If you do find them i would feinatly bi-wire them and if you really wanna make them shine feed them at least 200watts rms of nice clean power. They really take advanatge of alot of power. I noticed a big difference in mine when i went from a 75watt rms dennon to a 250watt rms outlaw.

p.s. even though the 55's and the 55i's are very similar i would hold out for the 55i's, there crossover provides a much more accurate sound.

A great speaker! I also have a pair of NHT SB3 bookshelves which are highly regarded in most circles, and while I would never give them up for a pair of RT35i, I would have to think long and hard about the RT55 if I were forced to give up one or the other.

Edit: Ooops, wrong thread. I meant to post this on the other RT55 thread.
