Well it's time to turn off the lights to the office and walk away. :(
After five years, it's time to move on to a new opportunity. I'm going to miss being able to wear jeans and a t-shirt to work everyday though. :D

Just starting to wind down now after dinner. I think I'll also miss the telecommunting options also.

Still, it's a new position, new challenges and opportunities. Not bad for a dumb DBA. :D I'll be signing back in once I'm settled and the internet connection is stable again.

regards

Dave

    Hey Dave,

Good luck in what ever you do. What are you doing if you do not mind sharing that. Tons of room in Yellowknife. The market is on fire up here. With talks resuming with IOL and additional mining companies having huge success in their exploration ventures, northern Canada will not be able to survive the employment demand.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!

The official title is SAP BW Costs Analyst with a utility company. I think it's just a fancy term for database/reporting developer.
The nice thing is the potential for more responsibility down the road and a commitment towards career development. Can't ask for much more then a chance to prove yourself imo.

Almost didn't accept the position though. The business casual attire wasn't too hard to accept but the no free coffee was almost a deal breaker. ;)

I've got the ISP account switched over to a personal account so I'm on line! heh...

    regards
