Ok, I'm sure this flick is going to get flamed by a number of folks, but I'll be honest and say I actually thought it was pretty good, but then again I'm into the "paranormal" movies, anyway. So I picked it up today but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Hopefully the A/V will be well done.

the g/f saw it in the theater and came home pissed she wasted the money. Decent movie until they "ran out of ideas" at the end and then just threw something out there that didn't make sense. Oh well, I'll pass.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

I agree . The movie wasn't bad , started a little slow and then progressed to interesting down the line ; then ....... boom ...... movie dropped like a rock with a ending that let was somewhat unexplained and left you in the middle of no-where .
The movie had good potential and then flopped ..SDA-2B's ~ Pair SDA-CRS's ~ ,*** Main listening: Maggies MG1 ~ Polk SDA 2B's ~ Monitor 10's , 3-pairs (2 pairs moded into SDA's w/SDA-2B/CRS cross-overs) , * DCM TF600's * Mission M71/M72 *** Main brdrm FRT: RTiA-5's /Presence RTi-4 / LSI-704 Cntr / Rear FXI3's ~~~ Assorted Main listening rm : , 2- Heathkit W-5M /tube mono blocks (Parasound P/HP-850)* * 2- Altec Lansing 1590b's/mono blocks (Yamaha C-45) * CM Labs 35D * Dynaco ST-70 ~ Occasionally ~* Yamaha CR-820/A-760 ,* Sansui AU-317/AU-217 * Carver 900 rec *2-Dynaco ST 120* 1 Hafler DH-220* Marantz 1040 ... more -

Seems to be a lot of movies like that nowadays. I wish more filmmakers were more interested in pleasing audiences than trying to make a buck. There are a few of them out there, but most of em are more or less studio ****... -
*ADDED NOTE:
I did find the "extra" stuff on the dvd kinda interesting though ...
Showed real evp's collected and how to test for your own evp's(kinda cool ) as I like that type of paranormal thing .
Anyone interested on what extra stuff was listed on the dvd ; just go to www.aaevp.com

The irony of this is that if the filmakers succeeded in pleasing the audiences then they'd ALSO make the bucks along with it!Mains: polkaudio RTi70's (bi-wired)

Then everybody wins! -
that's why, if I was going to make a movie, I'd do the ending first just to make sure I had the budget for the ending I wanted. Not end up going "Oh damn... well let's just do this then."Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

Just watched this.
This was a really good movie up to the ending. It was very erie and I was into every scene. The ending tho was like what everybody else said.....flop. You get all this cool, erie stuff building thinking thee is going to be a cool **** payoff and then, THUD. Youre left going "huh?".
And since Im 5.1 savy now I can add that there wasnt any surround effects at all. One cool effect when a light goes out and this "noise" starts from the right front and completes a circle around you. Im new to 5.1 so this kind of stuff still gives me a thrill!polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

You know what's weirder than "evp," and true? Shortwave Mystery Broadcasts.
I first read about this in William Poundstone's great book "Big Secrets," and then in this Salon article, and again in this Straight Dope column.
This is the stuff of weirdness. I have often wished I had a shortwave radio set to listen to this stuff, but I am sure it would freak me out.

Just watched this tonight with my roommates & we thought it was pretty decent but it didnt answer enough unless I missed it, but who were the evil 3 ghost of christmas past, present & future? Also did anyone else think that the sound was recorded very low? Ive never had to turn the volume up as much as I did with this DVD.

No, you didnt miss anything. Thats what we're all bitching about.
You have this eerie, suspenful storyline and you build up expecting this great ending and then...here it comes.....gonna be good........splat.
So youre left sitting there wondering, "WTF".polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
