Your amps will probably run hotter at ther 2-ohm load, and I am pretty sure there is a slight reduction in sound quality as well, but I'm not sure how noticeable it would be.

    Anyone else?

    well,

If your speaker is made to handle 4 ohms then you should wire it to drawl 4 ohms off of the amp. Most car stereo speakers are 4 ohm. Different number of ohms aren't always better or worse, more ohms (or a larger number of ohms) drawls less power while less ohms (a smaller number of ohms) drawls more power from the amp. Ohms are just a measurement of the resistance against the flow of electricity.
