New Polkie Needs Setup Help!

Just became a brand new Polkie. Read nothing but excellent reviews, so I jumped in feet first. My system consists of RT1000i mains, a CS400i center channel, F/X300i surrounds, and a PSW350 subwoofer. All this is connected to a H/K 210 receiver with preouts.

System will be primarily used for Home Theater and music will be secondary.

What is the best way to connect my speakers to my receiver in order to produce the best HT experience I can.

Much thanks from a Polk newbie.

Oh, you're gonna have fun with that system!

Check out some of the resouces here on this site, like the library and the FAQ areas (from the home page) and you should have all you need.

Check out PDF's of back issues of the Polk Newspaper (and sign up for the next issue -- due in Nov).

Call us up and we'll send you The Home Theater Handbook for free. It's pretty cool, and has loads of setup info in it.

We are The Speaker Specialists! (I keep repeating that to myself over and over!)

And then log back on and tell us how it sounds and what sounds good on it!

Just what Micah said.... very good advice
In addition, I would recommend you use good grade speaker cables and A/V cables for all the connections, use at least Monster Cable or above, be sure to bi-wire all of the speakers if possible. Add an AC conditioner ( such as MC HTS 2500 or 3500 or 5000 ) to your system is the best thing you ever want to reward yourself, you will hear things that you never hear before on the same CD, LD or DVD.
    Enjoy....
