Can you describe how you plan on using it, what features you need, how picky you are going to be about quality playback, are you going to use it while jogging?

I would get something 1gb or bigger. When I looked at what the price range was for a gb I had seen that they ran anywhere from 130-180 dollars. I think thats a little high considering you can get an IPOD mini for 199 and that hold's 4gb of music.

I say go for the mini, you get more bang for the buck.

    I have a mini...no problems for me.

250.00 for a 20gig IPOD. it holds up to 5000 songs and is still rather small and well built. The mini for 199.00 for 4 gigs just felt like a bad deal. My kid loves the 20gig model we got her for christmas.
Also, more accesories are out for the IPOD compared to toher models.
