Pretty cool idea, but.. read a review of that turntable a year or two ago, it got a bad review. Maybe they have improved it, but when the optical pick up "saw" or "read" a piece of dust, you got a very loud POP! and it's tracking was pretty bad, skipped like no tomorrow.
