Looking for a new DVD player that is also good for music. Any ideas out there in the 250-300 range?

The Denon DVM 1815 is a nice unit. Good picture quality and sound quality, and a 5 disc carousel, making it easier for music.
The unit usually sells for $330.
If you would consider a separate CD player, the Denon DCM 380 is great. Just under $300.
Overall though, if you want excellent picture quality and sound quality, and a universal player to boot, the Denon 2910 is a great choice. At $680 it's double the price, and not a multi-disc, but it's still the best player under $1000 for DVD and music.
I've also read a lot of good things about the Onkyo DV-CP802, especially for sound quality, but it is also more expensive, I believe around $500.
    Current System:

Mitsubishi 30" LCD LT-3020 (for sale**)
Vienna Acoustics Beethoven Concert Grand (Rosewood)-Mains (with Audioquest Mont Blanc cables)
    CSi5-Center (for sale**)
    FXi3-surrounds (for sale**)
    Martin Logan Depth-Sub
    B&K AVR 507
    Pimare CD21-CD Player
    Denon 1815-DVD Player
    Panamax M5500-EX-Line Conditioner

    Second the Denon nod.

Not sure what they have in that range, but I am quite happy with my Pioneer.

Tweeter near me has a Yamaha dvd-c750 on sale for 239.00.
Dose anyone have any background (or opinions) on this unit.
I have twins on the way so yes, cost is a factor. Everytime we have another kid, my toy budjet gose down. But the kids are worth it (4 now)

The Denon 2910 sounds excellent and plays DVD AUDIO/SACD. The picture is very good also although some have experienced macroblocking depending upon their display.
For your budget considerations, you might want to check out this SONY.
It has a great picture and sounds teriffic-especially on SACDs.

It's funny you say that. I (just today) bought an "out of box" Denon DVD-2900 from tweeter for $300.00. The picture is unreal!
This is the first Denon product I have purchased and I am very happy with it. MSRP on this unit was $999.00. It came with the factory warranty. I love this thing.
