Help please,
Today I attempted to listen to a sacd and recieved no sound from
right front channel.Im using an h/k 310 as a pre-pro and Denon 2900 for the universal.Im only having this problem when I select 6 channel direct on the h/k which is the only mode you get sound for sacd.I tried a regular cd in a diffrent mode and get sound out of that channel ,I also played a dvd-audio disk and get no sound when in 6 channel mode, but I do via dts.I tried switching out that cable for that channel and get the same result.
How do I find out where the problem lays,in the h/k or the denon?
Mike

take the right channel from the denon and plug it into the left channel of the receiver....if you get sound, it's not the denon.
i had a problem where i wasn't getting sound out of my left surround, no matter what. it was a crack in the board in my receiver. marantz fixed it for free, i didn't pay for shipping or anything. i'm not saying this is your poblem for sure, but you might have to take it in to get checked out. -

Thanks for the suggeston, just tried it and it seems the problem is the h/k.Looks like no more sacd until I can afford to upgrade.:(Outlaw 990 Processor

listen to SACD in 5.1 then? lol don't let a rotten surround channel blow your whole experience. SACD in stereo is supposed to be good too.

The only way I can get sound for sacd is through 6 channel direct mode on the h/k and the front right channel is dead in that mode, unless i switch the analog cables like you suggested, and thats kinda pain in the arse, but doable.Outlaw 990 Processor
