adding a seccond power amp

i found a adcom 7605 with is a 5 channel verson of my 7607. i am thinking of getting it and bi amping my front 3 and adding the 2 extra channels for the front efects. aucton starts at 400 should i go for it?

    Have you thought of adding a better quality two channel amp for the L+R speakers for two-channel listening? This would still allow you to use your existing amp for the side effects speakers.

    i never 2 channel i use it for 99%ht and the rest for a party/cleaning

    If you could get it for a good price, I would say try it. You could always resell it for close (if not more) than what you paid.

    I don't know if bi-amping will get you alot, but if you are running close (sound getting compressed at high volumes) it may help. Many would say just get a higher power amp to run your speakers and sell the one you are using. (similar to recommendation of running 1 10ga. speaker wire rather than bi-wiring with 2 14ga.)

    If you can get a good deal - I would vote for trying it. If it doesn't do what you want, sell both amps and get a single larger one.

    I dont really think biamping for HT is going to do a whole lot for ya ganzo. But hey it would look pretty cool.
