At first it is hard to come up with ten, then it becomes hard to narrow it down to ten.

    1. Johnny Dangerously
    2. Matrix
    3. Reservoir Dogs
    4. Snatch
    5. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
    6. All the American Pie trio
    7. The Butterfly Effect: Director's Cut
    8. The Bourne Identity And The Bourne Supremacy
    9. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
    10. Ocean's Eleven

    And from the childhood memory

    1. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
    2. Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
    3. The Shaggy D.A.
    4. The Wizzard of OZ
    5. Death race 2000 ( low budget but my first R movie)
    6. Peter Pan
    7. Star Wars
    8. E.T
    9. All the Love Bug movies
    10. Blazing Saddles

Sorry it's long but I said it was hard to nail down ten.

    Hmmm...

1.) Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
2.) Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring
3.) Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
    4.) Star Wars
5.) Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back
6.) Pirates of the Carribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
7.) Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade
8.) Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark
9.) Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
    10.) Office Space

    The list continues

11.) Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom
    12.) Saving Private Ryan
    13.) Ronin
    14.) The Princess Bride
    15.) TRON
    16.) The Professional
    17.) Spies Like Us
    18.) Memphis Belle
    19.) The Big Lebowski
    20.) Sniper

So there are 20. Big deal. So many movies popped into my mind that I had to list them all in some order. This doesn't include the Tom Clancy movies like Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger or The Hunt For Red October. It is also missing movies like Good Morning Vietnam and Rising Sun. It's really hard to justify throwing The Fugitive (original or Tommy Lee Jones/Harrison Ford remaker) in there along with Bullitt and The Getaway when the go up against cinematic blockbusters like LOTR and Indiana Jones. I'm also missing a few good "chick flicks" like What Women Want, You've Got Mail and Forces Of Nature. Then there are the Kevin Smith deals like Chasing Amy, Clerks, Mallrats, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. And of course honorable mentions like Animal House and One Crazy Summer.

It's hard to nail down 10 favorite movies, ya know that?

Lot of great films mentioned and I'm a sci-fi fan (Aliens, The Terminator & Starship Troopers are at the top of my list).

But I don't see much mention of the older stuff (when you didn't need $10 million in special effects). These are two of my favorite films of all time:

    The African Queen
Flight of the Pheonix (the original).
