Can you put stuff on top of an SVS cylinder sub?

Hi all,

I have a PC Ultra on the way and was wondering if it's OK to put things on its top surface. I downloaded the manual but didn't see anything about this. I have a small, 12" TV sitting where the sub will go and ideally I would want to put the TV on top of the sub as space is pretty tight.

Thanks for any input.

I don't think i would do it.. it may rattle something loose in side the TV. like it may cause it over long term to be out of color.. or something like that.

If space is limited.. build a shelf above the SVS. ;)
or get one of those wall brackets. since it sounds like the TV isn't to large.

not to mention that you'd be blocking the airflow for the sub...there's a reason that top piece is vented...

I like to set my wife in a mini skirt on top of my dual CS+ and play the ring drop over and over:D

Did you purchase one of the new Box ultra's or a cylinder? If box - you might get away with it. (but I still wouldn't) If cylinder - no way. (ports face up, driver faces down)

The top is a thin metal grill, not designed to hold anything. Also, you've got three 3" ports that move a lot of air. It must be kept clear.
